Today you are met on arrival by your local guide who will transfer you to your hotel and brief you on your program for the next days. It’s about a 45 minute drive to your hotel in the city. On arrival you check in to your hotel and rest of the day is free at leisure.

Overnight: Bangkok

Today you are met by your guide who will take you on a tour through Bangkok by local transportation.

We will start to visit the famous Wat Pho with its massive golden reclining Buddha. Your guide will be able to explain more about the religion that covers this region. Wat Pho is also known as the Home of Thai Massage, as the training center here is world renowned for its levels of excellence.

Its then into a local tuk tuk, for an exhilarating transfer to the Grand Palace. The Palace is the royal and religious heart of the country, with the revered Jade Buddha taking pride of place next to the Royal Coronation Rooms.

AMer that, you will board your private longtail boat for a fascinating exploration of the canals (klongs) that criss cross the city. Bangkok is very close to being below sea level, so the klongs were dug to allow water to get out of the city to the sea. We driM passed stilted houses, old men fishing from the walkways, gilded temples and the occasional giant monitor lizard basking in the sun! The program stops off at the Temple of Dawn, or Wat Arun where you have time to explore the site and learn more of its significance in the early founding of the city. Following this we return to your hotel for a well- earned break.

Today you have all time to explore Bangkok at your own.

This morning you will join the tour to Kanchanaburi – you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Kanchanaburi province, about 130 km. to the west of Bangkok.

First visit Thailand–Burma Railway Centre an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand–Burma Railway. The fully air-conditioned centre offers the visitor an educational and moving experience. Visit Allied War Cemetery, resting-place for more than 6,000 Allied prisoners of war (POWs). Then continue to see the world-famous Bridge over the River Kwai, a part of Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs. Arrive at Hin Tok River Camp, Check–in and enjoy your lunch.

AMer lunch, you will be visiting the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum which is dedicated to those Australians and other Allied Prisoners of War and Asian labourers who suffered and died at Hellfire Pass and elsewhere in the Asia Pacific region during WW2. Trekking along the Hellfire Pass Walking Trails and return to Hintok River Camp in the late aMernoon where you will have a chance to get on a mountain bike to visit a village or farm nearby the camp.

Here you get to sleep under canvas for the night, but don’t worry, your luxury tent comes with ensuite facilities, electricity and of course air-con!

Overnight: Bangkok

Early morning you can bike across a hanging bridge to the temple for offering food to monks and return to the camp for breakfast.

AMer that, check out and take a long–tailed boat to get River Kwai Jungle RaMs to visit the ethnic Mon Tribal Village (Optional tours: Elephant Ride). Enjoy lunch and then continue to check in to your raM room for the night.

The aMernoon is free for you to relax or take a ‘river jump’. Lifejackets are provided in each guestroom. You can simply jump from one end of the floating hotel and float along down the river and climb up at other end.

Dinner, followed by a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance. Overnight at the raM hotel.

Overnight: Kanchanaburi

Enjoy your breakfast just next to the river, this morning is at your own leisure. At 11hrs it is check out from the hotel and you will be taken for a historic ride on Death Railway Train through magnificent scenery, passing over original wooden viaduct constructed by Allied POWs. Before starting your journey back to Bangkok, you will enjoy your lunch.

We then transfer you to Hua Hin, where you will arrive in the evening.

Today you are free to experience the charming city of Hua Hin and its beach on your own.

The morning and afternoon is at your leisure – in the early evening, we will pick you up and transfer you to the train station where you will board the overnight train to Surat Thani in the south.

Upon arrival in Surat Thani, you will be transferred to Khao Sok National Park. Once you arrived, your adventure will start with a nice hike to a wide swimming hole, the trail is easy, and monkeys are commonly seen in the trees above. OMen, visitors ask about the value of a guide for a short hike, and the answer is – it’s worth it! Why? Because our guides are able to show you hidden details of the jungle you might never see on your own – an amazing bird’s nest, a giant stick insect, the delicate bloom of a wild orchid. AMer that, you do not have to walk on your own any more, as you will doing some

 

elephant trekking, what a unique way to experience the area! If you want to meet these friendly and peaceful giants, and journey with them on the outskirts of the jungle, come with us on a 60 minute elephant trek at our local family run elephant camp. At the end of your ride, you may thank your elephant with a delicious fruit snack. Did you know that elephants always walk on tiptoe? Yes, because the back portion of their feet is only made of fat but no bone

Enjoy your overnight in your own tree house.

Overnight: Khao Sok

After breakfast, you will join today the trip to Cheow Lan Lake. The best way to really appreciate Lake Cheow Lan (Chiew Larn) is to relax into the beauty, wildlife, and tranquility of Khao Sok National Park. Daytime activities include hiking through virgin jungle, swimming, exploring a cave, kayaking, and relaxing amidst the amazing scenery. In the aMernoon and dawn hours, go on safari by boat to see wildlife such as otters, leaf monkeys, and gaur (wild ox). AMer dark, enjoy a delicious dinner of fresh fish from the lake; and spend a night under the stars in a basic floating bungalow that matches the simplicity of the surroundings.

Overnight: Khao Sok

The morning and aMernoon is at your leisure – in the early evening, we will pick you up and transfer you to the train station where you will board the overnight train to Surat Thani in the south.

Today you will be transferred to Samui Airport for your departure flight back home.
